THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make vast improvements and renovations over the last two years. Our hometown theatre is looking sharp with the updates we have undergone with many of them occurring throughout 2014. Thanks to Sonic Equipment Co in Iola, KS for upgrading us to Digital Projection and 3D in late 2012, Weathercraft Roofing for a new, leak free roof, Dave Riemann for repainting the exterior and some of the interior of the theatre, Omaha Neon Co. of Omaha, NE for completely redoing the neon lighting from square one, Garrett's Heating, Plumbing, and Electric for all of the rewiring of the theatre and new furnace, Don's Floor Covering for the new and beautiful carpet throughout the theatre, and Scott Evans and is crew for enclosing our building with new concrete. It has been a huge project that has been very well received in our community and surrounding areas. We couldn't have done it without the financial support from all of our donors, our tax credit grant from the State of Kansas, and our theatre board who has worked tirelessly to make it all happen to benefit you, our loyal customers. Once again we thank everyone for their support and we will continue being the best theatre in Northwest Kansas.
We would also like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to Sara Hartley. She has recently resigned from the theatre board after serving for 22 years and has moved on to more exciting things. Without the tireless work from the late Albetra Byrum-Slaby and herself, in resurrecting our former one screen theatre from a near death, we wouldn't have the vibrant facility that we all enjoy here in 2015. Dr. Roy and Sara Hartley were the initial managers of our twin theatre and have been a gem in keeping things going on a behind the scenes basis since I took over management in late 2006. Again, thank you Sara for all of your years of service to the Norton Theatre and to the Norton community. You will truly be missed by everyone!
